FAQ

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes.

How long it takes?

If piece is marked as "ready to ship" (see in description) I send it out within 2-4 days. "Made to order" jewelry requires some production time, usually around a week if not specified in listing's details.

You can choose a shipping method upon checkout. Standard shipping takes about 2 weeks. IEMS (International Express Mail Service) - up to 5 business days.

All shipping is insured and carefully packaged in a wooden gift box and will be sent in a bubble mailer. I will contact you when I ship your item and provide you with your shipping details and tracking number.

The buyer is responsible for any customs import taxes that may be imposed.

Do you do custom orders?

Depends on how busy I am at the moment. Don't hesitate to contact me via Instagram @materialmaya or via sendmayalove@gmail.com

What is your return policy?

I provide returns only if your item has been damaged in transit, so please choose your jewelry carefully: check all the pictures of the item, check the sizes twice, read the whole description. Feel free to ask any questions before purchasing, contact me via Instagram @materialmaya or via sendmayalove@gmail.com.

If your item got damaged in transit please take pictures of the package + the item and contact me immediately. Send your purchase back to me within 7 days for a full refund and 30 days for an exchange.

If a piece is damaged at fault of the owner, a repair or replacement will not be made without charge.

How do I find my ring size?

1) I recommend you visit a local jeweler to be sized accurately, that's the best way.

2) You can use the paper string method too, but it isn't that reliable. You take the responsibility for wrong measurements.

  1. Wrap a piece of non-stretchy string or a strip of paper around your finger.
  2. Make sure that it is below the joint of your finger and close to your knuckle.
  3. Mark the point where the two ends meet.
  4. Measure the distance with your ruler to get the perimeter of your finger (length of strip until the mark).
  5. Use the chart on the picture to determine your ring size.

3) Take any simple ring (just a band, like wedding ring) which fits your finger and measure its size using any "Ring size finder" application on your phone.

How I take care for my sterling silver jewelry?

Handcrafted pieces from sterling silver and natural gemstones are quite fragile and require delicate care. Sterling silver may tarnish from humidity, some chemicals, salt water, perspiration and contact with the skin.

I send all my pieces wrapped in special anti tarnish paper to keep their shine while shipping. After wearing your piece for some time, to bring the shine back to your piece and remove the tarnish, a high quality silver polishing cloth is recommended. I include a "magical" cleaning sample pad in every order so you can use it on your piece and see how those polishing clothes work. That pad will last longer if you first clean your jewelry from greasy layer with dish washing soap and a soft brush. Be aware that this pad can remove the artificial oxidation (blackening) from the piece too, use it carefully.

To avoid the dull look of tarnished jewels which you stored away for a longer period of time, keep them in airtight bag, it really helps.

If your piece has a natural gemstone please avoid dropping, scratching and hitting sharp or hard objects as this can cause the stone to crack or chip. Do not use chemical cleaners or cleansers where you supposed to dip in the jewels. These types of cleaning chemicals aren't made for jewelry with natural stones.

If you have other questions please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll be happy to help you!
